Blood The Last Vampire

© 2000 Mamoru Oshii, Production I.G., Sony Visual Works
Color / Stereo / 48 minutes / Japanese-English dialogue with English-Japanese subtitles

cover synopsis

The year is 1966, and near the US Yokota Army base, a number of dead bodies have been showing up. Superficially appearing to be suicide victims, they are actually the unfortunate victims of creatures known as "chiropterans". Chiropterans feed off of human blood to survive, but orders from above dictate that the creatures are to be hunted down and destroyed.

Saya, a seemingly young girl with a very strong will, aids in the fight against the chiropterans. However, it seems that the creatures have managed to infiltrate the American army base itself, and so Saya is sent to the American base's high school to investigate. How many of the creatures are there, and will she be able to stop them before they kill again?
