Café Trivia

Gunbuster Top o Nerae!

(Gunbuster Aim for the Top!)

question:

After running 50 laps, Noriko pigged out on a bunch of quick energy food including a strawberry drink. What was it, and how did the drink recently make the news?

answer:

Ichigo Calpis (Strawberry Calips), a yogurt-based drink which comes in regular, orange and strawberry flavours. The new Calpis commercials are to be directed by award winning and critically-acclaimed director Kurosawa Akira (Ran, Yojimbo, and Seven Samurai, on which The Magnificent Seven is based, and was a major inspiration for the Star Wars saga.) - this is the first TV commercial he will have ever done. Apparenly, he loved the stuff when he was growing up.

As a side note, here's a list of what was left on the table: cans of Coke, Pepsi and UCC Coffee (yuk!). A tetra-pak of Ichigo Calips.
