(Vampire Princess Miyu)
In the original title for the first episode, Kyoto is referred to as Miyako. Why and what is its significance?
The word miyako means "old capital". While the capital of the nation has moved several times, Kyoto is the one generally being referred to. Also, on a whole, this city has the most temples and shrines in all of Japan.
