[ capsule review ]

The TV series Shin VP Miyu is quite different from the OAV series. The story for this episode is pretty typical TV fare with half hearted voice acting. The voice for Miyu while rather sedate and in keeping with Miyu's character can come across at times as just being plain bored while at other times can be a little too "nice" which isn't in keeping with her character. The confrontation between Miyu and the Shinma strikes the viewer as being rather drawn out and staged with overdramatic pauses as though waiting for the audience to ooh and ahh. Still, overall the TV series is just that, standard TV fare with very average voice acting, animation and slightly sub-par music themes.
