I have been interest in anime for about a decade now, after being introduced to "The Venus Wars" at the age of 12. I have been interested in foreign cinema of all sorts long before that, and to me, anime turned out to be an extension of that interest. It is a medium which is truly as varied as any other in world cinema.

My favorite titles include "Grave of the Fireflies," "Princess Mononoke," "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "Please Save My Earth," and "Kare Kano" - those titles prove that animation is every bit as capable of presenting an honest view of human nature as the most skillful of live-action filmmakers.
