Dark Cat Review by Chris Cleveland: "Dark Cat" is, quite frankly, one of the worst animes that I have ever had the displeasure of running across. The animation quality is extremely poor, and the soundtrack is among one of the most annoying ones that have passed through my ears. As for the plot, it was fairly decent, actually. But a lack of direction pretty much obliviated whatever potential it had. "Dark Cat" has a fair amount of "Urotsukidoji"-style tentacles, but no sex involved. It wants to be gory, it wants to be erotic, and it wants to have decent storytelling on top of that. However, the lack of direction ends up with a very poor mixture of not enough of any of those elements. As far as exposing children to this one goes, it is pretty much on the same level as an R-rated movie. But heed my advice on this one - There are SO many better things to do in life than to waste an hour with THIS very poorly constucted piece of trash. This is below the bottom of the scrapings of the barrel of anime, and nobody deserves to sit through such a horrid thing, after all. Parent's Guide Rating:red (recommended for mature audiences) The violence is not pervasive, but what is in there is very gruesome. There are some sexual situations, but no actual sex or nudity. There are also a lot of tentacles, but they are just there just to be there, apparantly. And one final content warning - It may decrease your IQ significantly by exposing yourself to it. Do something better with your life than to watch this. [ << prev ] [ top ] [ next >> ] [ main ] [ rated g ] [ rated pg ] [ rated m ] [ rated x ] [ reviewers ] [ contribute ]
