Romeo's Blue Skies

A Parent's Guide to Anime
Rated: PG

Parental Guidance Advised

Reviewed by Fred Wilson:

A very entertaining series. Based on an Italian novel called The Black Brothers, it is considered another "low key" miracle from Nippon Animation, whose animators often work with Studio Ghibli. The story follows young Romeo who lives with his family in a poor Italian village. He is later sold into slavery, when he agrees to go to Milan to become a chimney sweep to help pay off a debt he owes his family. He then meets up with group of kids in Milan called the Black Brothers; another group of kids sold into slavery. This video shows the accomplishments and the hardships they face. This is a very difficult series to let slip through your fingers with its rich detailed backgrounds and powerful and believeable characters.

Parent's Guide Rating:

yellow (parental guidance advised)

This series contains strong language, mild violence, and use of achohol. besides that, it's pretty suitable for family viewing. ^_^
