Detective Azusa-chan

Café Trivia

Taiho Shichauzo!

(You're Under Arrest!)

question:

Most of the vehicles in Taiho Shichauzo! were drawn accurately to be recognised on sight. How many can you name?

answer:

Opening Credits:

  • Honda Today (Miyuki and Natsumi's patrol car)
  • Honda Moto-Compo (Natsumi's)
  • Honda 750 (Ken's bike)
  • Honda NSX (Captain's patrol car)

Episode 1:

  • Nissan Altima
  • ERA Mini turbo
  • Toyota Celica Turbo (In North America, only the All-Trac came with the distinctive hood)
  • Honda Prelude
  • Honda Today

Episode 2:

  • Lancia Delta (left-hand drive, of course! Plus 5-point harness, full roll cage, moulded seats, etc.)
  • VW Beetle (! I doubt this car would make it past inspections.)

Episode 3:

  • Nissan Sentra
  • Toyota Supra Turbo
  • Suzuki GSX-R750
  • Honda ZXR 750

Episode 4:

  • Honda NS 400/R
  • Subaru SVX
  • Subaru Imprezza
  • Mercedes S-600
  • Suzuki GSX-750 (Training bikes at the training center. One of the girls takes a spill in the background while navigating the pylons.)
  • Honda Prelude
  • Porsche 968
  • Toyota/Lexus LS 400
  • Mazda MX-3
  • Alfa Romeo

Lots of Honda products in this series... Coincidence? Those of you who are better at recognising bikes might want to leave me some mail. I'm more in tune with the 4-wheeled variety.
