(Child's Toy)

A Parent's Guide to Anime
Rated: PG
Parental Guidance Advised

Review by Fred Wilson

This series is about a young elementary school girl named Sana Kurata who stars in a television show called Zenjiro's Kodomo no Omocha. She may seem a bit crazy and airheaded at first, but turns out she's a very sweet and affectionate young girl. Akito Hayama is her enemy in the beginning of the series, but that changes as both of them go through struggles at home and with each other.

Basically this is a series about growing up in a complex world. It may seem like only a comedy in the beginning, but as you keep watching the series, the story takes on a more serious tone in the way it portrays children dealing with family troubles.

Parent's Guide Rating:

yellow (parental guidance advised)

There is some suggestive dialogue in the series.

Sana refers to her manager as her boyfriend, lover and pimp. Keep in mind that Sana is only 11 years old.

There are some mild curses as well, but anyone over the age of 10 can handle this series.
