  Most people will be gearing towards the up and coming Anime Expo at the end of this month in Anaheim, CA. Unfortunately, we won't be going this year; I wasn't sure about being out in Canada for the longest of times and just didn't really expect to attend. Perhaps next year. In the meantime, there are two new reviews up for Episodes 28 and 29 for Rurouni Kenshin.

  Okay, so I've been lazy. I admit it. I just realised that the second half of Conan's Akai Satsui no Nocturn's review hasn't been finished and will get that patched up ASAP. In the meantime, there's another review for Conan (complete!) up on the site.

  For those of you who have been watching the latest happenings in anime TV releases, WB is to release the North American release of Card Captors on Saturday June 17th at 9:30 AM ET. Check your local TV listings for actual times etc. Rumours abound about the actual episode so we'll have to wait and see whether what's dreaded is in fact the truth, or whether things will all turn out well. (Sakura's supposed to be in high school?!?). Ahem! The title for the episode is supposed to be "Sakura's Rival" which would place the story at about episode 8 of the original release. However, according to the article in Action Ace, the story is said to have be heavily re-written. Other TV news, Tenchi Muyo is set to air July 3rd on Cartoon Network starting with the original 13 OAVs. Times have not been listed as yet however.

  Where does the time fly??? Here it is already into the middle of June. Ah well. We have several new reviews up including 2 for Mei Tantei Conan, as well as a review for Kami Kaze Kaitoh Jeanne. Please note that for Kami Kaze Kaitoh Jeanne, we (oddly enough) started towards the end of the overall series. Such is the luck of the draw when pulling tapes at random from the pile of TV recordings....





• May 30, 2000

  A new review is up on the Cafe for Mermaid Forest, an older OAV from Rumiko Takahashi. Otherwise, additional reviews have been posted for Galaxy Express 999 and Plastic Little in the Parent's Guide to Anime. Unmentioned in the previous update, the trivia questions sent in for Aa! Megami-sama and Gunsmith Cats were submitted by Justin Hokamura. Thanks Justin and apologies for the delayed credit!
